Phoebe Amoroso is a reporter, multimedia journalist and storyteller based in Tokyo.

Since arriving in Japan in 2014, she has made international video news for Reuters, reported live from the Tokyo Stock Exchange as a markets reporter for NHK World, worked on various NHK documentaries, and written for several online and print publications.

Currently, she works as a business reporter and newsreader for NHK World’s Biz Stream, alongside writing, videography, and production. She is constantly searching for new and creative ways to tell all the amazing stories that need to be told.

Phoebe hails from the UK. She holds a BA (hons) Geography (1st class) degree from the University of Cambridge and a MSc Media and Communications (distinction) from London School of Economics. She is a former Daiwa Scholar under the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and speaks Japanese.
